  • SQL Joins are used to retrieve/select/display data from multiple database tables in a single table at run-time.
  • When multiple database tables have the same column with matching rows that is retrieved or selected by SQL joins.
  • The common type of SQL join is INNER JOIN also called simple join.
  • The INNER JOIN selects/retrieves all rows from multiple database tables by matching values of each common table columns.

SELECT ci.city_name, co.country_name
FROM city AS ci
INNER JOIN country AS co
ON ci.country_id = co.country_id;
