SQL Operators In WHERE Clause

  • SQL uses the following conditional operators in WHERE clause to filter the database result.

Operator Description
= Equal
<> Not equal. Note: In some versions of SQL this operator may be written as !=
> Greater than
< Less than
>= Greater than or equal
<= Less than or equal
BETWEEN Specify range between any two values
LIKE Search for a pattern
IN Select/Retrieve multiple values as a list of a single table column
