Difference Between Visibility & Display In CSS

  • Both Css properties visibility:hidden and display:none are used to hide Html element(s).
  • When you use visibility:hidden, the Html element becomes invisible but its space is allocated on the page.
  • With display:none the Html element becomes invisible and there are no space is allocated for it.

Example:

#visi { visibility:hidden }
#disp { display:none }

This is visibility:hidden start
<p id="visi">I will be disappeared and my space will be allocated!</p>
This is visibility:hidden end
